Bank of America provides funding for the Avondale Property Enhancement Program, an ADC initiative.
The Avondale Property Enhancement Program (APEP) is a matching grant program that has helped more than 50 Avondale homeowners fix problems for which they have been cited by the City of Cincinnati.
The Bank of America also supports both REACH Avondale and the Avondale Home Improvement Program (AHIP). REACH (Rehab Across Cincinnati and Hamilton County) is a joint partnership between The Port and Hamilton County that focuses on single-family home new build and rehab in Avondale and other neighborhoods. In REACH Avondale, the ADC serves as co-developer and manages resident engagement and communications. Projects either underway or in the planning stage include rehab work on Wilson Avenue and new construction on Haven Street and Forest and Eden avenues.
AHIP is a component of REACH Avondale and is managed by ADC. AHIP is a forgivable exterior home improvement loan program designed to help current residents undertake projects like painting, siding, windows, doors, roofing, concrete work and landscaping while improving home energy efficiency, safety and health. Loans are forgivable if the homeowner continues to reside in the home for five years following completion of the work. AHIP has helped more than 30 Avondale homeowners.
Bank of America is also invested to help ADC reinvigorate the Avondale Business Association as well as the revitalization of two neighborhood business districts: Reading Road Corridor and Burnet Avenue to create entrepreneurship, jobs and economic opportunities.
Bank of America is an American multinational investment bank and financial services holding company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the second largest banking institution in the United States and the eighth largest in the world.
