Gabriel’s Place
Gabriel’s Place is an iconic historic neighborhood presence that once brought the beautiful neighborhood of Avondale and its dynamic residents together. Avondale Development Corporation (ADC) humbly accepted this property from the Diocese with the sole intention of transforming these now vacant and dilapidated buildings into a new sense of connectedness and vitality as a community center to be shared and enjoyed by all.
ADC, mindful of partnerships and those most apt to assist, issued a request to the community at large for potential partnerships to assist in making this a reality. After much deliberation of over 1 year, ADC and their dynamic board who represent the community, decided the best interests was with 8k Development, who specializes in historic restorations, prioritize economic inclusion, and can help best bring the shared vision of neighborhood vitality into a reality.
ADC wishes to bring with Gabriel’s Place, art shows, a community center, music venues, youth programming, senior programming, health fairs, food access, and openness and a welcoming center for all. ADC welcomes public input and commentary to tho vision and hopes Gabriel’s Place will bring for the community with this monumental project.
