The Port – which is both a funder for and client of Avondale Development Corporation – is a key component of the Avondale Revitalization.
The Port provides funding to the Avondale Development Corporation to help increase ADC’s capacity.
ADC also works with the Hamilton County Land Reutilization Corporation, which is managed by The Port, to promote the REACH (Rehab Across Cincinnati and Hamilton County) program in Avondale. REACH is a joint partnership between The Port and Hamilton County that focuses on single-family home new build and rehab in Avondale and other neighborhoods. In REACH Avondale, ADC serves as co-developer and manages resident engagement and communications. Projects either underway or in the planning stage include rehab work on Wilson Avenue and new construction on Haven Street and Forest and Eden avenues.
ADC also provides general community engagement support to the HCLRC.
