Avondale Vacant Land Parcels RFP Now Open for Submission!
The Avondale Development Corporation (ADC) is excited to announce the release of our Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of 17 vacant land parcels in Avondale. This RFP presents a unique opportunity for qualified developers, co-developers, non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, and private buyers to submit proposals that will help shape the future of our community.

• Issue Date: Monday, August 5, 2024
• Proposal Deadline: Monday, March 30, 2025
Submission Guidelines:
All proposals must be submitted using the designated proposal template provided by ADC. Submissions can be made either electronically or in hard copy form.

Purpose of the RFP:
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit development proposals, co-development proposals, and/or purchase agreements for the vacant land parcels. We are seeking proposals from qualified Offerors who are committed to the revitalization of Avondale. Offerors may include developers, non-profit and for-profit organizations, and private buyers who are interested in making a positive impact on our community.
Proposal Review Process:
Upon receiving a proposal for a specific site, that site will be listed on our website. Other proposals for the same site will be accepted for a 30-day period, after which no additional proposals will be considered for that site. Each submission will be carefully reviewed, and ADC will award funding to successful Offerors based on what is deemed "Most Advantageous to Avondale" in accordance with our Policies and Procedures Guidelines.
ADC reserves the right to make no award pursuant to this RFP. However, our aim is to identify proposals that align with Avondale’s vision for growth, community development, and equitable housing. Once an award is made, it will also be listed on the website for transparency.
Selection Criteria:
Each proposal will be evaluated based on the overall benefit to the Avondale community. The criteria include:
• Alignment with Avondale’s long-term development goals
• Impact on the surrounding neighborhood
• Financial viability and developer track record
• Commitment to community engagement and involvement
• Innovative ideas that support equitable development
Our goal is to collaborate with Offerors who are dedicated to advancing Avondale’s growth while ensuring the project is inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial to current and future residents.
