ROOT Ambassadors, December 2023

The ROOT Ambassadors program blossomed into action, fostering healing and unity while training resident leaders. The Hearts and Healing event curated by DNA Productions showcased local artists and welcomed new ambassadors eager to embark on their journey of training and mentorship.

Our Young Entrepreneurs Workshop thrived as the Young Entrepreneurs Workshop provided transformative training sessions over the summer, culminating in a impactful information session in November.

Avondale Film Camp, July 2023

Residents immersed themselves in filmmaking at the Avondale Film Festival, and celebrated achievement at the Heritage of Black Excellence Awards gala, raising $20,000 for community initiatives.

Vibrant events like the Avondale Day Festival, Feet in the Street 5K, Avondale Empowerment days, Family Fun Days, and the Glenridge Activation event brought residents together and raised funds for vital operating expenses.

Digital Skills Training, April 2023

ADC addressed the digital divide by providing digital skills training sessions for residents of all ages, empowering them with essential knowledge for the digital landscape.

ADC extended support to homeowners and families through the Economic Mobility Fund and Avondale Home Improvement Program, assisting legacy residents to remain in their homes.

Hale Avenue Townhomes Ribbon Cutting, October 2023

Milestones were reached with the completion of the Hale Avenue Townhomes project, the acquisition of Gabriel’s Place, and the opening of 66 units of low-income housing at Blair lofts.

ADC extends sincere gratitude to our partners and funders, including Empowering Black Futures, Fifth Third Bank, Cincinnati Children's Hospital & Medical Center, LISC, Homebase, the City of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Kingsley + Co., and the Uptown Consortium Inc.
